BlueSea EasyID Fuses

As a DIY boat owner, you know that a broken fuse in a dark electrical enclosure can be a major hassle. When a fuse trips, it can be impossible to locate it in low light conditions. That’s where BlueSea EasyID fuses come in. After these saved me on a few occasions, I am a lifelong fan.
The standout feature of BlueSea EasyID fuses is the LED light that illuminates when the fuse is tripped. This makes it much easier to locate the faulty fuse, especially at night or in other low light conditions. No more fumbling around in the dark trying to find the tripped fuse – the LED light will guide you right to it.

In addition to the LED light, BlueSea EasyID fuses are also backed by the reputation of BlueSea, who are known for producing high-quality electrical hardware. I have a box of these fuses securely stored inside my 12V electrical compartment, always ready to have a replacement on hand when needed.

Waterproof Phone Case

If you’re a DIY boat owner or sailor, you know how important it is to have a reliable phone case that can withstand the elements. That’s where the SPORTLINK Waterproof Case for iPhone comes in.

I’ve been using this phone case for over three months now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best cases I’ve ever owned. I’ve taken hundreds of underwater photos and videos with it, and the camera lens protectors have held up perfectly – no scratches despite my rough usage on docks, under boats, and in the real world.

One of the things that sets the SPORTLINK Waterproof Case apart from other brands is its price. At $17-20, it’s less than half the cost of a leading brand like Life Proof. And while I’ve used Life Proof cases for years, I’ve had issues with scratched lens protectors and charging port problems. The SPORTLINK case has a 100% rubber waterproof charging port seal, which means no hinges or hard plastic to break. It’s a friction pressure seal that works effectively and is easy to use – just squeeze it into the plastic housing and it’s good to go.

One thing to note is that charging does go slowly through the case, so it’s a good idea to let your phone charge overnight. If you need to do an intermittent charge during the day, it will be slow – probably around 5 hours for a full charge. But overall, the benefits of the SPORTLINK case outweigh this minor inconvenience.

I’ve also had zero issues with sound and microphone quality with this case, and the touch sensitivity on the edges of the screen has been perfect. In contrast, I’ve had issues with other phone cases in the past where the touch sensitivity wasn’t quite right. And after using the SPORTLINK case for over three months, the only scratches on the display are from real incidents – not from general wear and tear like carrying the phone in my pocket.

In conclusion, if you’re in the market for a reliable, waterproof phone case that can handle the rough and tumble world of boating and sailing, the SPORTLINK Waterproof Case is a great choice. It’s affordable, well-made, and has held up perfectly for me over the past three months. Give it a try and see the difference it can make for you.

Underwater Flashlight

Hey there! If you’re in need of a reliable, super crazy rugged flashlight for your DIY boat projects or just everyday use, the Princeton Tec Torrent LED Dive Light is a top choice. I’ve owned two of these bad boys, and I’ve gotta say, I’m pretty darn impressed.

First of all, this flashlight is built to last. I’ve dropped it an embarrassing number of times (don’t ask), and it still looks brand new. It’s just that tough. And the brightness? Wow. It’s like, BRIGHT. I use it outdoors, on my boat, and while traveling, and it always comes in handy. If you want to be “that hero” who brings a flashlight that can actually guide a group of your friends out of a jungle at night (not that I’ve ever had to do that or anything), this flashlight is 100% the best.

Another thing I love about the Princeton Tec Torrent LED Dive Light is the battery life. Without exaggerating, I haven’t replaced the batteries in my second one since I bought it in February 2019 – and it’s now almost four years later. I actually checked inside the flashlight to confirm this, and yep, the original “not for retail sale” batteries were still in there. Now, I can’t promise you’ll get the same battery life, but considering it’s an LED flashlight that consumes a modest amount of power for its brightness, you can expect some serious staying power.

Another bonus of the Princeton Tec Torrent LED Dive Light is that it’s resistant to corrosion. I’ve used it in salt water a hundred times (okay, maybe not a hundred, but a lot) and I’ve only rinsed it with fresh water half the time. And yet, there’s no corrosion to speak of. That’s pretty impressive, if you ask me.

There are a few other features of this flashlight that are worth mentioning. It comes with a lanyard and a cinching clasp to wrap it around your wrist, which is super convenient. The power switch is a rotating lever that’s easy to find by feel, and it also has a small locking device to prevent the light from accidentally switching on (though I’ve never actually used it, as the lever switch is quite firm and requires close to half an inch of travel before it’ll turn on).

Overall, I’ve been really happy with my Princeton Tec Torrent LED Dive Lights, and I’d seriously recommend them to my friends and family. If you’re in the market for a reliable, super rugged flashlight, give this one a try – I think you’ll be impressed.
